GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gainesville Police Chief Nelson Moya has released a video, urging the community to assist in solving the case regarding the shooting death of a 20-year-old woman at TB McPherson Center on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025.

In the video, Chief Moya presents clips from the event, soliciting help to identify key figures. The police are particularly interested in identifying the man in the orange box — who he was with prior to and following the incident — and any vehicles linked to him.

Chief Moya emphasized, “We cannot do this alone. Any information, regardless of how trivial it may appear, could be crucial to solving this case. This isn’t just a police issue; it concerns us all as a community uniting against violence.
