In Florida, a woman reportedly posted on Facebook about how “SATAN GETS BUSY” just weeks after allegedly killing her boyfriend and leaving his body to decompose for a week in their residence. The body was eventually discovered by the man’s teenage son and his mother, as reported by the police.

Veanitta Lenon, aged 37, faces charges of second-degree murder with a firearm and fraudulent use of personal identification belonging to a deceased person, in relation to the shooting of her boyfriend, Jason Bloomfield, on November 23, 2024. It was Bloomfield’s mother and his 15-year-old son who found his body on November 29, according to the information in Lenon’s probable cause statement.

The police documented that “[The teen] said they decided to check on his dad as they hadn’t heard from him since Friday, November 22.” To gain entry into the home, the boy and his grandmother moved a back door that had previously been taken off its hinges. Bloomfield, 46, was discovered dead beneath a stack of clothes and blankets, having been shot several times.

Video surveillance, Lenon’s police interview and witness statements all allegedly pointed to her as the main suspect — with cops saying she tried to “create an alibi” by speaking to neighbors and sending text messages from Bloomfield’s cellphone after killing him, per the probable cause statement. Lenon even tried painting his death as a possible suicide while speaking to investigators, going so far as to pull off a bout of “fake crying, with no tears,” the statement says.

“I’m with my friend from the past,” Lenon allegedly wrote in a message to Bloomfield’s sister from the alleged victim’s phone.

“You don’t remember her the white girl in from Lee County,” she said, according to police. “Me and vita aren’t working out so she went back to her family’s house and I’m single now she can’t take all the stress that’s going on and the car and the living situation and having no hot water so whatever.”

After calling police, Bloomfield’s mom identified Lenon as his girlfriend and brought up the messages sent from his phone to Bloomfield’s sister, claiming the couple had broken up. The sister allegedly told cops that the texts were “unusually long” and “sent late at night” compared to the usual time he sends her messages.

“Love you sis going to bed now gotta work in the morning,” one of the texts allegedly read. On Nov. 24, 2024, the sister said she began texting with Lenon and received messages that also stood out.

“He left last night … with a woman potentially,” Lenon allegedly said. “He’s been seeing his ex behind my back but it’s ok we are friends.”

Describing the last time she saw Bloomfield, Lenon allegedly claimed he was sleeping when she left that morning. “He had to be at work last night he wasn’t feeling well but I don’t know if he went in or not,” Lenon allegedly told the sister.

The claims about the ex also came up in Lenon’s conversations with police after she drove up to the murder scene in his BMW on Nov. 29, 2024, following the body discovery.

“Family members began shouting that Veanitta killed [Bloomfield],” the probable cause statement says.

After she arrived on scene, Lenon allegedly “started rambling about an ex-girlfriend” and alleged that the woman had broken out his car windows several months earlier. She told investigators that Bloomfield allegedly “kicked her out two days before Thanksgiving” and said she was at her granddad’s house when his body was found, according to the probable cause statement. Lenon’s rambling allegedly continued in subsequent interviews with police.

“Veanitta was in a playful laughing mood and spoke with your affiant about superheroes and Johnny Cash,” the probable cause statement says.

Lenon allegedly first admitted to arguing with Bloomfield before Thanksgiving on Nov. 28, 2024, but then changed her story to claim that they were actually fighting on Nov. 24, 2024, before finally saying it was Nov. 23, the day cops believe Bloomfield was gunned down. Interviews with neighbors and witnesses revealed how Lenon allegedly attempted to use conversations with them to form an alibi and ensure they would not “snitch” on her.

“Veanitta was acting aggressive and they feared for their safety,” the probable cause statement says.

After killing Bloomfield, Lenon allegedly drove his car around and used Zelle to send herself $500 from his bank account, the statement says. She took to Facebook on Dec. 11, 2024, to put up her “SATAN” post, with authorities confirming her page’s existence in court documents.

“DISTRACTIONS ALWAYS COME UP WHEN YOU WANT AND DESIRE,” Lenon allegedly wrote in the post.

“SATAN GETS BUSY BUT YOU GOTTA KNOW WHEN HES WORKING SO YOU CAN LET GOD HANDLE UP ON YOURE BEHALF,” she proclaimed. “CANT GET ME BUT HE WILL GET GOT MESSING ROUND WITH A ANOINTED CHILD OF GOD.”

Lenon has pleaded not guilty to her charges and is currently awaiting trial without bond.
