Manhunt intensifies for Arkansas suspect likely injured in fatal attack of couple

A search for the murderer of a married couple from Arkansas, who were hiking with their two young daughters at Devil’s Den State Park, continued into its fourth day on Tuesday. This follows the police’s release of a sketch of a man they want for questioning, suspecting he was injured during the attack.

Arkansas State Police unveiled the sketch on Monday night, showing a man with a baseball cap. This individual is considered a “person of interest” and was spotted at the park on Saturday.

Clinton Brink, aged 43, and Cristen Brink, aged 41, were discovered deceased on a trail in the park on Saturday afternoon. Their daughters, aged 9 and 7, were unharmed and are currently with relatives, as confirmed by the police.

Although details about a motive or the method of the murders remain undisclosed, state police released a statement with the sketch, indicating the suspect likely sustained injuries during the assault on the couple. No additional details have been provided as of yet.

The suspect is described as a White male with a medium build, seen wearing a long-sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up, dark pants, a dark cap, sunglasses, and fingerless gloves. He was also carrying a black backpack, according to the police.

Furthermore, the suspect was observed driving toward a park exit in a black four-door sedan—possibly a Mazda—with tape obscuring the license plate. Police noted that the vehicle might have been traveling on State Route 170 or 220.

The bodies of the couple were taken to the state crime lab, which will look to determine the manner and cause of death.

Devil’s Den is located about 140 miles northwest of Little Rock. The remote 2,500-acre park features hiking trails and rock formations.
