Ghislaine Maxwell threatens to dodge Epstein questions unless demands are met

Ghislaine Maxwell, the previous collaborator and partner of Jeffrey Epstein, is seeking to postpone her testimony before a House Oversight Committee, according to Fox News.

Last week, Maxwell received a subpoena to appear before Congress, as officials aim to uncover the full extent of Epstein’s sexual offenses.

However, she is now attempting to delay her Aug. 11 deposition.

“It extends beyond the Southern District of Florida, doesn’t rely on co-conspirators being identified by the government, isn’t contingent on any specific government attorney’s knowledge about potential co-conspirators, and includes no additional stipulations or exceptions. This should conclude the matter,” the brief stated.

The appeal for a rescheduled date arises after Maxwell underwent almost two days of questioning by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche at a Florida courthouse last week.

Currently, Maxwell is serving a 20-year sentence in a federal prison in Tallahassee for her involvement in acquiring young girls for Epstein’s sexual exploitation.

Maxwell’s attorneys and the House Oversight Committee did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
