Daughter bilks $113K from 87-year-old mother's bank account: Police

YUKON, Okla. (KFOR) Authorities say five individuals are facing felony charges for exploiting an 87-year-old elderly woman, with one of the suspects being the woman’s daughter.

Investigators tell affiliate KFOR that 56-year-old Delana Leigh Guth, 62-year-old Alicia Dawn Hall, and 45-year-old Amy Jo Whiting are behind the crime.

“Our investigation led us to believe there was some sort of a conspiracy between the three of them,” said Captain Michael Frame with the Yukon Police Department.

Capt. Frame said Guth is the woman’s daughter, and arrest warrants are out for another man and woman believed to be involved.

“I believe that the two other suspects in the case were friends of hers, if not definitely acquaintances,” Capt. Frame added.

An affidavit details Guth and the four others bilking her mother’s bank account for $113K, spending the funds on ride share services, bail bonds, cash withdrawals, and other online purchases.

Yukon authorities were even flagged by the woman’s bank after Guth attempted a withdrawal in the amount of $800K.

Court documents also cited physical and verbal abuse.

The 87-year-old victim told police she was afraid of her daughter and her daughter’s friends.

During an argument, court records say Guth allegedly choked her mother until she “saw white.”

Guth, Whiting, and Hall have bonded out of the Canadian County Jail. The elderly woman is safe and currently living in a memory care facility.
