During a somewhat chaotic zen party in the finale of The Valley Season 2, Michelle Saniei boldly claimed, “If Jesse [Lally] and I can get along, then I think everyone can get along.”

Jump to Part 1 of the reunion that aired on July 29, and the strained relationship between the former couple was once again evident. Jesse described their coparenting as “pretty good when it comes to decisions for Isabella,” but also remarked, “I know that [Michelle] weaponizes Isabella. I weaponize Isabella.”

Although Michelle denied the allegation, Jesse pressed on: “Read comments online. You weaponize your daughter.”

The allegation caused Andy Cohen to step in with a protest. “Well, excuse me, it’s not up to the commenters,” Andy said of Jesse’s claim.

Jesse Lally and Michelle Saniei argue over claims about daughter Isabella

Jesse encouraged Michelle to recount an incident involving his mother as a case of “weaponization.” The incident occurred before Michelle’s mother passed away in November 2024 after battling cancer. Michelle alleged that Jesse didn’t allow her to take Isabella to visit her mother before she died. In response, Jesse claimed Michelle wouldn’t let him take Isabella to see his family for Christmas.

“I said, ‘If you’re not going to allow Isabella to see my mom, who is going to die, she will not be flying to Boston for Christmas and spending a week in Boston,’” Michelle explained during the reunion.

“’Ever again,’ is how you ended it,” Jesse clarified.

“And what happened? It worked,” Michelle said, defending her word choice. “And that’s how I have to talk to you. I have to treat you that way.”

Are Michelle Saniei and Jesse Lally divorced?

Andy asked for an update on the status of Jesse and Michelle’s divorce during Part 1 of the reunion, which was filmed on May 2.

Michelle added, “So we have a custody agreement. We’ve been trying to work on a settlement. I have a lawyer. He does not. It’s been very expensive for me for the past six months. He represents himself, so he thinks he knows the law.”

Jesse shared another update with The Daily Dish towards the end of May, adding, “We’re so close to finalizing the settlement.”

The couple said if they can’t agree on a settlement, they’ll have to go to court.

“I’m really trying to avoid that because that’s just so much more money and time, so I’m just doing my best to get it done,” Michelle told The Daily Dish at the end of May. “My goal is to get divorced this year, because I truly believe, like, once we’re divorced, we can be in a much better place.”
