AccuWeather Meteorologist Jaisol Martinez reported that while haze from the smoke will remain visible on Saturday, there is a gradual improvement in the air quality index in Chicago.

Conditions will remain unhealthy for sensitive groups on Saturday, an improvement from being unhealthy for everyone.

Conditions will remain unhealthy for sensitive groups on Saturday, an improvement from being unhealthy for everyone, Martinez said.

This comes as Lollapalooza continues on Saturday, drawing thousands of people outdoors.

But the conditions have not appeared to keep the large crowds from flocking to the annual music festival in Grant Park.

Health professionals indicate that poor air quality is most concerning for children and adults with active lifestyles who suffer from respiratory issues. It’s important to stay indoors if you encounter breathing problems and seek medical help if needed.

Experts suggest using an N95 mask when going outdoors, while indoors, it’s advisable to check that air conditioning filters are clean to ensure optimal performance.
