A vehicle connected to Austin Drummond, a suspect in a quadruple murder in Tennessee, was found abandoned as more information about his extensive criminal record comes to light.

Authorities are actively searching for 28-year-old Drummond, wanted for the murders of four people in Tiptonville, Tennessee. An infant, later discovered on the lawn of an unrelated person’s home, is connected to the four victims, who are relatives of Drummond’s current girlfriend.

The Jackson Police Department reported on Friday that Drummond’s vehicle, a 2016 Audi A3 with Tennessee plates, was found in a wooded area near the end of MCO road. Police believe he might have been residing in the car and could still be nearby.

The department has advised residents in the vicinity to secure their homes and remain indoors while the search for Drummond continues, noting that he is armed and extremely dangerous.

Drummond was convicted of aggravated robbery in 2014 and reportedly threatened jurors afterward. In February 2015, he pleaded guilty to 13 counts of retaliation for past actions.

Jody Pickens, the district attorney for Madison County, warned against Drummond’s early release, describing him as a “dangerous felony offender and a verified member of the Vice Lords,” a known street gang, in a 2020 letter.

Drummond ultimately was given a combined 13-year sentence. His sentence ended in September 2024, Tennessee Department of Correction records showed.

As of the 2020 parole hearing, Drummond also had more than two dozen disciplinary issues in prison, including possession of a deadly weapon, assault, refusing a drug test and gang activity. Drummond said the assault and the deadly weapon charges occurred because he was almost beaten to death.
