Florent Sinama-Pongolle, who previously played as a striker for Liverpool, has now transitioned from the energetic atmosphere of Anfield to the calm discipline of professional footgolf.

The former French international, known for his 65 appearances and nine goals, including a vital one against Olympiacos during the 2004/05 Champions League, has embraced the emerging sport that combines football with golf. His impact is already noticeable.

Sinama-Pongolle is representing HAC FootGolf, a club in Le Havre, where he once played on loan. He recently posted impressive videos on Instagram, featuring a long-distance putt that gained admiration from viewers. These clips were taken at the scenic Golf de Saint Donat near Cannes.

The national governing body, FootGolf France, currently places him at 31st in the country, which is commendable for someone relatively new to the sport.

Additionally, Sinama-Pongolle is joined by another former Liverpool player, Anthony Le Tallec, also a Champions League winner, as both have transitioned to HAC FootGolf, bringing a touch of nostalgia to the golf course.

From Merseyside to the Côte d’Azur – Sinama-Pongolle’s second act might be even smoother than his first.
