Ricky Johnson, David Harrington, and Clayton McGeeney were last seen alive on January 7, 2024, attending the final regular-season Kansas City Chiefs game at the residence of their friend, Jordan Willis.

Two days later, authorities found their frozen bodies outside the house.

After a thorough yearlong investigation, prosecutors have brought charges against Jordan Willis and Ivory Carson in connection with the deaths, which garnered national publicity. Both individuals face three counts of involuntary manslaughter alongside two counts of distributing a controlled substance.

Authorities report that Carson, also known as “Blade Brown,” was responsible for supplying and selling cocaine to Willis and the victims. Investigators discovered Carson’s DNA on a bag of fentanyl located within Willis’ home.

At the start of the investigation, law enforcement had initially stated that they did not suspect any foul play. However, a toxicology report later revealed the presence of cocaine, THC, and fentanyl in the victims’ systems. Police have now determined the cause of death to be “fentanyl and cocaine toxicity.”

As the case unfolded, Willis vacated the home and admitted himself to a rehabilitation program. A forensic examination of Harrington’s phone revealed text messages between Willis, McGeeney, Johnson, and others that connected Carson to the cocaine distribution.

DNA evidence identified Willis as a major contributor, and a second bag contained DNA matching Carson, confirming his role as the drug supplier.

Now, as the two suspects face each other in court, they don’t even look at each other.
