TikTok this week removed an inflammatory anti-Israel video posted by celebrity beauty mogul and influencer Huda Kattan.

Kattan, who is both the founder and face of the multi-billion-dollar beauty empire Huda Beauty, recently shared a video on TikTok to her audience of over 11 million followers. In the video, she accused Israel of being behind major historical events like World War I, World War II, the September 11 attacks, and the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7.

World War I (1914-1918) and World War II (1939-1945) both occurred before the State of Israel was established in 1948.

“Huda Kattan has created a brand based on beauty, but these antisemitic conspiracy theories she promotes are disturbingly hateful,” stated Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO of the Anti-Defamation League.

“Spreading vile myths about Jews to millions of followers isn’t just reckless — it’s dangerous.”

The American Jewish Committee also responded by sharing Kattan’s now-deleted TikTok video on social media, commenting, “Huda Kattan, as the founder of Huda Beauty, is utilizing her vast platform to disseminate harmful antisemitic conspiracy theories. She accuses Jews of organ harvesting Palestinians, orchestrating 9/11, and operating pedophile rings worldwide.”

“This isn’t ‘criticism of Israel.’ It’s centuries-old hate, repackaged and broadcast to millions.”

“Retailers face a decision,” remarked Ari Hoffnung, managing director of the Jewish non-profit JLens, “They can either continue supporting a brand whose founder endorses conspiracy theories fueled by hate, or they can choose to stand against antisemitism.”

Forbes included Kattan on their 2023 list of America’s Richest Self-Made Women and on their list of Most Powerful Women in Business in 2024.
