A 51-year-old woman has died, and another individual sustained critical injuries following a dog attack in a park in San Bernardino, California, on Thursday, as reported.

Officers from the San Bernardino police department were called to Perris Hill Park after reports of a dog attack. Upon their arrival, they encountered several dogs, believed to possibly be strays, and found an injured woman claiming she had been bitten, according to news sources from FOX 11 and the Los Angeles Times.

“It was initially a chaotic scene due to the presence of multiple dogs,” stated Sgt. Chris Gray of the San Bernardino Police Department, as reported by the LA Times.
