ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (BLOOM) — The popular fast-casual restaurant Raising Cane’s is debuting its first St. Petersburg branch on Tuesday, August 5. The grand opening event will feature giveaways, music, and an opportunity to win free Cane’s meals for an entire year.

Originating from Louisiana, this restaurant chain is celebrated for its straightforward menu offering chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, buttery toast, and their distinctive Cane’s Sauce. The new Florida spot is located at 2700 Tyrone Blvd. N., just by the Tyrone Square Mall.

Celebrations kick off at 8 a.m. with the “Lucky 20” promotion, where 20 visitors aged 13 and up can win a year’s supply of free meals. Entry is open from 8 to 9 a.m., with winners announced shortly after, and presence is necessary to claim the prize.

The first 100 patrons purchasing a Combo meal will be awarded a special hat and a voucher for a complimentary Box Combo on their next visit. Throughout the day, a live DJ will provide entertainment to maintain an energetic atmosphere.

The day also includes a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:30 a.m., in collaboration with the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, a $1,000 donation will be made to Pet Pal Animal Shelter, a local charity dedicated to rescuing animals at risk of being euthanized.

Customer No. 1 in line will receive a special welcome and gift basket from the Cane’s team, a tradition for the brand’s grand openings.

“We’re excited to bring Raising Cane’s to St. Petersburg for the first time,” expressed Dylan Techton, Area Leader of Restaurants. “This lively community shares our enthusiasm for great food and community engagement, and we’re eager to introduce our ONE LOVE – Craveable Chicken Finger Meals – to new customers here.”

The restaurant features a double-lane drive-thru and a dine-in area adorned with local artwork and memorabilia. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

Raising Cane’s operates more than 900 restaurants across 40 states, with plans to open over 100 new locations in 2025. For more information, visit raisingcanes.com.
