An eighth person has now been charged in connection with a disgusting child sex abuse case in rural Alabama.

This week, a grand jury charged Olivia Shailee Elam, 26, with 34 counts including rape, sodomy, human trafficking, kidnapping, aggravated child abuse, and sexual torture of a child under 12, according to WBRC.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office began announcing arrests last month in a horrific child sexual abuse and torture case, which reportedly occurred in an underground bunker in Brent, as reported by CrimeOnline.

The investigation began in early February and initially led to the arrest of William McElroy. Later, in late April, Dalton Terrell, 21, faced charges linked to the case, following a previous arrest for allegedly paying adults for sexual access to their children, although it’s uncertain if this is connected to the bunker case.

A few days after Terrell’s arrest, charges were brought against Andres Trejo-Velazquez. This was followed by the arrest of 23-year-old Timothy St. John, and subsequently, Sara Louise Terrell, Rickey Terrell, and Rebecca Cecile Brewer were also apprehended.

Investigators have identified 10 victims involved in this abuse network, all aged 3 to 15. Bibb County Sheriff Jody Wade stated that those operating the ring could earn up to $1,000 nightly.

The US Department of Homeland Security labeled Trejo-Velazquez as a gang member but didn’t provide details to corroborate this claim and did not confirm whether any proceeds from the child sex ring went to a gang.
