Footage from a doorbell camera caught the unsettling scene of an Amazon delivery truck being hit head-on by another vehicle in North Texas while an employee was inside.

Authorities reported that Tuesday’s collision in Mineral Wells, Texas, occurred because Micah Meeks fell asleep at the wheel while on his way home from work.

Meeks was also driving without a valid license and received a citation at the scene, Mineral Wells Police told Fox News Digital.

“According to officers at the site, the driver at fault had worked that morning and was on his way to hand over the car to someone else,” police stated. “A colleague was trailing him when the crash transpired.”

Resident Stormy Lovern told Fox 4 that he heard a loud noise and screaming shortly after Holloman completed a delivery.

“He had just delivered a package to my neighbor,” Lovern recalled. “I saw him get back in his vehicle, and less than two minutes later, there was a loud crash and I heard him yelling outside.”

Holloman and Meeks received onsite medical attention from EMS and were released with minimal injuries. The police indicated that neither alcohol nor high speed contributed to the accident.

“We’re thankful both drivers are safe and appreciate the customer’s concern and immediate assistance after this incident,” an Amazon spokesperson told Fox News Digital in a statement on Thursday.
