The 2025 Clue Awards nominees have been announced, with “SUV” actor Ice-T confirmed as this year’s host.
The awards program, as highlighted previously by CrimeOnline, honors commendable and ethical storytelling within the true crime genre. This encompasses a variety of formats, including publications, television series, documentary films, and podcasts.
The pioneering CLUE Awards serve as a platform to recognize those individuals or organizations that have significantly advanced the cause of justice for crime victims.
In 2025, the CLUE Awards will be held during a prestigious ceremony on September 6, as part of CrimeCon Denver, hosted at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center.
The awards are judged by “creators, experts, and leaders within the true crime media,” who have extensive knowledge and experience in true crime.

Per Variety’s report, the “America’s Greatest Detective” award will be among those presented this year, acknowledging the outstanding service and commitment of individuals in law enforcement.
The “Crimefighter of the Year” award is also making a return, aiming to honor a person or group that has notably impacted the field and shown relentless pursuit of justice for victims.
Past recipients of the “Crimefighter of the Year” award include John Walsh, the Gabby Petito Foundation and the Black & Missing Foundation.
