CHICAGO (WLS) — The FBI is now investigating a Chicago-based travel agency that the ABC7 I-Team reported on last week.
The FBI has announced suspicions that “FlyGirl World Travel” may have deceived its clients by taking payments, canceling their reservations, and failing to issue refunds.

Reports from individuals nationwide claim the company’s proprietor, Laticha Douglas, accepted payments for trips but did not book the corresponding reservations.
In recent correspondence with clients, the travel agent confessed that her business had shut down, admitting to poor business decisions but insisting there was no intention to defraud.

The I-Team reached out to Douglas multiple times, but never heard back.
The FBI urges anyone who feels they have been financially impacted by this travel service, or by any travel or online fraud, to come forward.
Complaints can be submitted at Ic3.gov. Additionally, the public can arrange a face-to-face meeting or share details by contacting their nearby FBI Field Office. For those in Chicago, the FBI Field Office can be reached at (312) 421-6700.
