THE suspect in the shooting near a CDC building and the Emory University Campus in Georgia has been named as Patrick Joseph White.

A 30-year-old resident of Kennesaw, Georgia, was identified by authorities as having died along with courageous police officer David Rose when a shooting incident occurred on Friday night.

Police suspect that White initiated the shooting near the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention headquarters, causing bullets to spread across the adjacent university campus.

Officer Rose was struck by one of these bullets and died on scene while White was later found dead in a nearby building that houses a CVS store.
