CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago police are investigating a mass shooting and two other shootings early Sunday on the city’s West Side.

Police reported three separate shootings within a couple of blocks in the South Austin neighborhood on Sunday.
La Crosse Avenue mass shooting
A woman was killed and five other people were shot at about 2:48 a.m. in the 100-block of N. La Crosse Avenue, according to police.
Authorities reported that a 22-year-old woman suffered a gunshot wound to her back. She was transported to Mt. Sinai hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Her name has not been disclosed yet.
A 17-year-old boy was shot to the left thigh. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
A man, 29, was shot in the right leg and he was taken to Loretto hospital in critical condition.
An 18-year-old man was shot in the chest and arm. He was taken to Stroger hospital in critical condition.
A second 18-year-old man was grazed in the left hand. He was treated at the scene.
A woman, 29, was shot in the right elbow and was expected to be okay.
Maypole Avenue shooting
About three blocks from the large gathering, police said an 18-year-old was shot and killed and another was injured.
CPD said the shooting happened in the 5000-block of W. Maypole Avenue at about 4:37 a.m.
According to police, two 18-year-old men were reportedly engaged in a dispute with two individuals in a vehicle. The individuals in the vehicle allegedly began firing at the pair of 18-year-olds, authorities stated.
One 18-year-old man was shot twice in the back. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he died. His identity has not yet been released.
The other 18-year-old man was shot in the arm. He was taken to Mt. Sinai and is expected to be okay.
Lamon Avenue shooting
In the same area, a woman was found with multiple gunshot wounds, police said.
The 20-year-old woman was found in the 200-block of North Lamon at about 1:40 a.m. She was taken to Mt. Sinai and was listed in good condition.
Chicago police have not confirmed that all three shootings were related.
