Two blind women from Florida recently found themselves as the sole passengers on a Southwest Airlines flight from New Orleans to Orlando, stating that the airline must enhance its communication with passengers with disabilities.

Sherri Brun and Camille Tate were traveling together on Southwest Flight 2637, which was scheduled to leave New Orleans on July 14. After experiencing a nearly five-hour delay, the two friends eventually boarded the flight, only to realize they were the only passengers on board, FOX 35 reported.

Southwest said it offered each of the women a $100 travel voucher as compensation for the delay.

“We apologize for the inconvenience,” Southwest expressed to Fox News Digital. “Southwest constantly seeks ways to enhance our customers’ travel experiences, and we are active within the airline industry, sharing best practices on accommodating passengers with disabilities.”
