AIKEN, S.C. – Susan Rhodes, who was found last week after disappearing following a car accident in North Augusta back in June, has been taken into custody on charges related to a hit-and-run.

As per the Edgefield County Judicial Circuit records, Rhodes was arrested on Monday, Aug. 11, facing charges of Hit and Run with an Attended Vehicle, Reckless Driving, and having an Open Container. She was subsequently transported to the Edgefield County Jail.

After the vehicle accident on June 11, Rhodes was reported missing, prompting an extensive search effort for days. She was located weeks later on Aug. 5 at her home and then taken to the hospital for medical reasons. Shortly thereafter, North Augusta Public Safety provided more details and stated that Rhodes had recounted to authorities her version of the events surrounding the incident.

Warrants were later issued for Rhodes.

Rhodes has a $5,000 bond.
