() A Texas woman is suing a man who she says spiked her drink with abortion pills and caused her to lose her pregnancy.

According to the complaint, Christopher Cooprider dissolved abortion pills into Liana Davis’ hot drink and tricked her into drinking it.

Cooprider allegedly got the drugs from a group that provides mail-order abortion pills, something that has increased as more states outlaw abortion.

According to the complaint, Cooprider began talking about abortion after Davis had a positive pregnancy test. She rejected the idea.

Cooprider allegedly then went on to purchase abortion pills that Davis refused to take repeatedly, even when he brought them to her home.

The complaint includes alleged text messages between the two, which show Cooprider trying to convince Davis to terminate the pregnancy because it didn’t benefit him and threatening to testify against her in her divorce proceedings.

Davis alleges that Cooprider proposed a “trust-building night” during which he made her hot chocolate he had brought from his apartment, spiking it with the medication.

The complaint states that Davis began cramping and hemorrhaging 30 minutes after drinking her hot chocolate. She says Cooprider said he would pick up her mother to watch her three children, then take her to the hospital, but left and did not return as promised.

Eventually, a neighbor took her to the emergency room, where she lost the pregnancy.

In addition to Cooprider, Davis is seeking damages from the aid group and the individual doctor who provided Cooprider with the abortion medication.
