Without being overly sentimental or excessively wholesome, my style ranges from ‘Anne of Green Gables’ to ‘Chocolat,’ and from ‘Amelie’ to icons like ‘Julia Childs’ or ‘Mrs Beeton’.

“It’s about vintage, budget-friendly, and comforting dishes, prepared with emotion and dedication, ideally using ingredients nurtured by passionate individuals, paying tribute to Ireland with a touch of Italy. With rising food costs, providing home-cooked meals instead of processed options represents a genuine challenge in terms of budget, time, and advertising pressures.”

Emily’s culinary journey began early, introduced by her father, who passed away from cancer during her first year of university. Recalling one of her earliest cooking memories with him, Emily mentioned: “I remember standing on my dad’s feet, holding onto his knees as he twirled me around the kitchen while we waited for the oven to complete its work on the roast or cake. As I got older, he pretended to be the Head Chef while I played the Sous Chef.

“He had a deep love for his produce; we always maintained a vegetable garden and kept hens, and for a time, we even had goats for milk and cheese. As children, we often don’t cherish these memories until later, but now they are invaluable to me. I hope to create similar cherished food memories for my three children, so they too might someday find solace and familial connection through the joys of cooking and dining.”
