OSAGE BEACH, Mo. – Major commercial developments, including a new amusement park and 400-room resort, are the latest signs of continued growth around the Lake of the Ozarks.

Although the development has been delayed, Oasis at Lakeport, a massive mixed-use resort and amusement park, is currently under construction near the Grand Glaize Bridge along U.S. Highway 54.

The roughly $400 million project will include more than 20 acres dedicated to amusement rides as well as a water park.

The oasis site will also house 400 hotel rooms as well as some 30,000 square feet of conference meeting rooms and other space.

Oasis at Lakeport is scheduled to open as early as summer of 2026, with a full completion date in 2027.

Another project in the works surrounds redeveloping the once-bustling outlet mall in Osage Beach. The mall once boasted a capacity of over 100 storefronts but now only has less than 20 stores. The rest of the mall remains vacant.

Plans to redo the mall are still in early phases, with an estimated completion in 2027. As for residential real estate, that market is also showing signs of life.

Steph Schnelle, a real estate agent with Remax At The Lake, said there are more than 80 homes currently on the market.

“Brand new,” Schnelle said. “And there are still homes being built as we speak.”
