Gabriel Toumazis, a home cook and personal trainer from London, is competing on MasterChef UK 2025. He credits his father for igniting his love for cooking at a young age. Gabriel shared with the BBC, “My enthusiasm stems from my dad, the ultimate host. Our Saturday mornings were filled with cooking shows and mastering new techniques. We even joined a few cookery classes together.”
Speaking about his culinary approach, Gabriel explained: “I love creating food that people genuinely enjoy, nothing overly fancy, just tasty and comforting. When I entertain friends, Mexican cuisine is usually my go-to due to its vibrancy and shareability.”
He added, “I am inspired by my travels, such as my recent trip to Italy, where I was captivated by the straightforwardness and boldness of the flavors. I strive to cook a variety of cuisines. While Italian and pasta are my specialties, I often prepare Asian dishes as they are delicious and quite healthy.”
