OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – Law enforcement apprehended two individuals suspected of committing car burglaries at water parks, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

In July 2025, several incidents of car break-ins were reported at the H2O Water Park in Kissimmee. Both locals and tourists found their vehicles tampered with after a day at the park, as noted in a news release. Detectives soon pinpointed possible suspects and initiated a surveillance operation.

On Wednesday, officers tracked a man and a woman who left a residence in a 2025 grey Hyundai before heading to the water park. The man attempted to open several parked cars, succeeding with one unlocked vehicle, while the female stayed in their car to keep watch, deputies reported.

Deputies identified the burglary victim, who indicated they would press charges. Subsequently, the suspects headed to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon but attempted to escape upon sighting police presence.

With help from the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit, aerial visuals followed a Hyundai leading to a tactical vehicle arrest by ground units.

Nicholas Rivera, 33, and Jamika Spencer, 29 (OCSO)

The driver, 29-year-old Jamika Spencer, and the passenger, 33-year-old Nicholas Rivera, were detained without incident and taken to the Osceola County Jail. During the arrest, officers found a 2-year-old boy secured in a car seat in the back. The child was unharmed and was handed over to a family member.

Spencer and Rivera face charges of burglary of a conveyance and child neglect. An investigation is pending into connecting them to previous burglaries in the area.
