A Russian model and former Miss Universe contestant lost her life last week due to injuries sustained when an elk crashed through the windshield of her Porsche, as reported.

Kseniya Alexandrova, aged 30, succumbed to severe brain injuries resulting from a July 5th accident while she was travelling with her husband in Tver Oblast, Russia, as stated by Russian news agency RIA. Tragically, she remained in a coma in the hospital until passing away on August 12.

Alexandrova and her husband were returning home from Rzhev when the collision with the elk happened on the M‑9 highway, the outlet reported.

The report did not disclose the husband’s name, but he mentioned there was no opportunity to respond when the animal suddenly appeared in front of their Porsche Panamera. Both he and Alexandrova had their seatbelts on, and the vehicle was moving at a slow speed when the incident occurred.

Alexandrova represented Russia in the 2017 Miss Universe pageant and placed second in the Miss Russia competition earlier that year.

Modus Vivendis, Alexandrova’s modeling agency, confirmed her passing in a Russian-language statement shared on their Instagram account on August 13.

“We share with a heavy heart that our colleague and friend, model Kseniya Alexandrova, left us last evening,” the translated statement expressed.

“Kseniya was illuminating and gifted. She had a unique ability to motivate, support, and bring warmth to everyone around her,” the agency added. “To us, she will eternally symbolize beauty, kindness, and inner strength.”
