ARTHUR, Ill. (WCIA) — The Knights from Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond are returning with an impressive roster of talent from their 2024 playoff team, aiming for a more substantial advancement in 2025.

“There are 16 seniors, so naturally, we have experienced players across every position group,” explained head coach Ryan Jefferson. “Since they were freshmen, they’ve consistently shown dedication by keeping focused and working hard, bringing them to where they are now.”

Jefferson commended not just the sheer number of returning players but also their varied skills. The team’s running game consists of athletes capable of confusing defenses with swift movements.

“We have more play options,” mentioned senior lineman Kamden Morfey. “We tackle with more force, we’re significantly faster than last year, and we have greater confidence in our running backs.”

ALAH opens the season on the road against Sangamon Valley/Tri-City.
