A woman from California was discovered deceased in a national forest, just a day after a video captured her husband dragging a large item wrapped in a tarp or sheet away from their home.

The remains of 33-year-old Sheylla Cabrera were located in Angeles National Forest on August 13, wrapped in a material resembling the tarp or sheet her husband, 36-year-old Jossimar Cabrera, was seen moving in Ring camera footage the day prior, as reported by KTTV and KTLA.

Montrose Mountain Search and Rescue teams noticed something suspicious in Angeles National Forest that matched the material seen in the video, according to the outlets.

Before his wife’s body was found, he escaped to Peru, and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is collaborating with local authorities to bring him back to California.

Officials are expected to charge him with murder if he is sent back to California.
