Tour guides aid gunshot victim in front of Lucas Theater

SAVANNAH, Ga. () — There was a heavy police presence in Downtown Savannah near the Lucas Theater on Friday night.

In a statement from Hearse Ghost Tour, it was reported that while tour guides were assisting guests, an incident took place involving three individuals who pulled over on Abercorn Street in front of the Lucas Theater.

A woman exited the vehicle, claiming she had been shot. The tour guides on the scene immediately provided first aid, while another person contacted emergency services.

As of 11 a.m. on Saturday, the Savannah Police Department (SPD) has not released an official statement regarding the incident.

“Hearse Ghost Tours commends our two guides for their quick response and willingness to assist people amidst a potentially threatening situation,” stated Russ Lee, the owner of Hearse Ghost Tour. “They demonstrated compassion, kindness, and professionalism. We extend our wishes for a swift recovery to all those injured.”
