KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) — A shooting incident on Sunday morning at a Kansas City downtown parking lot led to the deaths of two men, while injuring three others, including a juvenile.

According to Kansas City police, preliminary findings suggest that an argument escalated into gunfire shortly after 4 a.m. The KCPD release does not specify the involvement of the shooting victims in this dispute.

The juvenile victim, a male, is critically injured. Another man sustained serious injuries, and a woman had non-life-threatening injuries. One man was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other succumbed to his injuries at a hospital shortly after 6:40 a.m.

Investigators are downtown looking for witnesses and surveillance video. So far no suspect information has been released.

Jackson County Sheriff Darryl Forte shared images on Facebook depicting an extensive crime scene cordoned off, ranging from 13th Street just north of the T-Mobile Center along Grand to 12th Street, extending east to McGee Street.

An employee from the College Basketball Experience informed Nexstar’s FOX4 that their building was hit 31 times, with several bullets penetrating the glass.
