Superman actor Dean Cain has faced harsh ridicule for seemingly grappling with a training course designed for Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agents.

The 59-year-old actor from Hollywood announced that he is becoming an ‘honorary’ ICE officer to help boost recruitment numbers for President Donald Trump’s immigration enforcers.

Cain stated, ‘People don’t realize, they think that ICE is this horrible, nefarious group and they’re not – they’re phenomenal people,’ expressing his support for law enforcement.

Footage documented by Fox News showed Cain as he visibly struggled through an obstacle course at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Georgia.

Cain sluggishly made his way over a wall and then crawled on all fours through a barrel.

Separately, Cain dragged a dummy around the course and fired guns at a shooting range alongside acting ICE director Todd Lyons.

‘Was the video slowed down?’ one critic asked.

Cain, an actor who is known for portraying Superman in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman in the 90s, announced that he wanted 'to help save America'

Cain, recognized for his role as Superman in the 90s TV show Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, proclaimed his desire ‘to help save America.’

‘So basically when the citizens start fighting back – ICE is screwed,’ a second wrote.

‘Glad he wants to help but he’s probably not your best candidate tbh,’ a third added.

Others chimed in describing the obstacle course as reminiscing a ‘kiddy playground’ and ‘utterly embarrassing.’

Though met with criticism, ICE remains hopeful that Cain will aid in increasing recruitment numbers, noting their website link alongside the video of his training course effort.

Successful applicants are offered a signing bonus of up to $50,000, as well as a $60,000 student loan repayment and a premium pay bump of 25 percent.

Cain hit out at his critics, insisting: ‘What you’re making fun of is me standing up for federal law enforcement and American citizens.

‘If you want to make fun of me for that, go ahead.’

Earlier this month, Cain, an actor who is known for portraying Superman in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman in the 90s, announced that he wanted ‘to help save America.’

He said he would be joining ICE ‘ASAP’ after revealing he backed Trump’s immigration crackdown.

‘I am a sworn law enforcement officer, as well as being a filmmaker, and I felt it was important to join with our first responders to help secure the safety of all Americans, not just talk about it. So I joined up,’ Cain said in his initial announcement.

‘If you want to help save America, ICE is arresting the worst of the worst and removing them from America’s streets.

‘They need your help, we need your help, to protect our homeland for families. Join today if it’s something that tickles your fancy because we can use you.’

Cain went on to say that under President Donald Trump, ICE had arrested ‘hundreds of thousands of criminals including terrorists, rapists, murderers, pedophiles, MS-13 gang members, drug traffickers.’

ICE claims it has been inundated with 100,000 applications for about 10,000 open positions since its major recruitment drive, which included removing age caps for serving agents.
