Sometimes people do things that make you wanna say, “Huh?”
I believe the news regarding a petition for Harjinder Singh, the undocumented immigrant facing three counts of vehicular homicide in Florida, might fit under a “wait, what?” moment.
Harjinder Singh, 28, is charged with three counts of vehicular homicide and could face up to 45 years in prison following an alleged illegal U-turn on the Florida Turnpike with a tractor-trailer on August 12 — six years past his illegal entry into the US.
In light of his arrest in California, a Change.org petition has gathered 2.2 million signatures urging Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to pardon Singh should he be found guilty.
The petition states, “This was a tragic accident — not an intentional act. While accountability is essential, the gravity of the charges against him does not correspond with the nature of the incident.”
