Winning Powerball numbers for August 25, 2025

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are one in 292.2 million.

WASHINGTON — The Powerball jackpot climbed to an estimated $750 million for the drawing on Monday night, inching closer to a billion-dollar jackpot.

The prize carries a lump sum cash value of $338.6 million, which is the option most winners choose over the full prize as an annuity.

Players have the opportunity to win $1 million, or $2 million if they opt for the Power Play, by matching all five regular numbers without hitting the Powerball.

Winning Powerball Numbers for Monday, Aug. 25

Saturday’s winning numbers were 16-19-34-37-64 and Powerball 22. The Power Play multiplier was 3x.

If someone matches all five numbers plus the Powerball, they can choose between having the entire jackpot paid out over 30 years or receiving a reduced cash payout. Most winners tend to select the cash option.

Even with the smaller lump sum payout, federal taxes will eat into those winnings, and some states also tax big lottery prizes.

What are the odds of winning the Powerball?

The odds of clinching the Powerball jackpot stand at one in 292.2 million. For those matching all five white balls to win the $1 million prize, the odds are 1 in 11,688,053. The probability of winning any prize is 1 in 24.87.

When is the Powerball drawing?

The Powerball drawing occurs live at 10:59 p.m. ET on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Tickets, priced at $2 per play, are available in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
