URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — The new era of Illinois women’s soccer is off to an impressive start.

After two wins on the road, first-year head coach Katie Hultin led her team to a 1-0 win in the season’s home opener over Boston College.

Goalkeeper Izzy Lee has achieved three consecutive shutouts, surpassing the two goals she conceded in the first trio of games for the 2024 season.

The lone goal of the game came from senior midfielder Sarah Foley in the 57th minute.

Illinois now goes back on the road to face DePaul, Kentucky and Missouri before Senior Day on September 7 against Valparaiso.
