DENVER (KDVR) — With storm systems bringing cooler than average temperatures and ample rainfall to Denver, the animals at the Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance are finding creative ways to keep warm together.

On Sunday, the zoo shared photos of a monkey, Baya, and a capybara, Rebecca, who were spotted “sharing some seriously adorable cuddles.”

“You’re welcome for the cuteness overload,” the Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance said in a post on Facebook.

In the comments on the post, visitors said they had also seen the two hanging out, cuddling and even giving piggyback rides.

In a YouTube video from 2021 when the zoo unveiled its capybara pair, Roy and Rebecca, they were described as large South American rodents that enjoy swimming, eating, and spending time together.

Recently, Rebecca has found a new buddy to hang out with: Baya the howler monkey.

Earlier this summer, Baya arrived at the Denver Zoo with her three offspring, Bruno, Banjo, and Buster. They were relocated from the Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Florida, as part of a conservation initiative, as stated in a DZCA Instagram post.

DZCA said their arrival marked the first time that howler monkeys have resided there since 2022.
