Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged following a two-year romance.
The pop sensation and the NFL player, both 35, surprised everyone by announcing their marriage with a charming photoshoot. Kelce proposed to Swift in a rose garden, and Swift shared the moment with the caption: ‘Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.’
Swift also revealed her mammoth diamond engagement ring in the post.
The star shared the post on her Instagram, set to ballad So High School, which is about her enduring love for Kelce.
Their relationship became public in September 2023 when Swift was seen with Kelce’s mother, Donna, at a Kansas City Chiefs game.
Since then, their love story has captivated people worldwide, with Swift cheering Kelce on his path to two Super Bowls, while Kelce has accompanied her on her wildly successful Eras tour.

Throughout that time, Kelce has faced repeated scrutiny over his future plans with the singer.
And now he has got down on one knee and popped the question just days before the beginning of what many expect to be his final NFL season.
He was pictured in Kansas City earlier this week at the launch of a documentary about the team but he appeared at the event without Swift.
Kelce’s family were there and gave no indication of any knowledge about the huge news that was on the way.
The sports star’s close friend Patrick Mahomes was quick to congratulate the couple, sharing Swift’s post on Instagram with three heart emojis.
In the wake of the announcement, Swift, Kelce and her hit Love Story began trending.
Prior to Kelce, Swift was in a six-year romance with actor Joe Alwyn, 34, which ended in April 2023.
The engagement news comes almost two weeks after Swift announced her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, on the Kelce brothers’ podcast, New Heights.

The engagement news comes just shy of two weeks after Swift revealed her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, during the Kelce brothers’ podcast, New Heights, where she gave her most open interview yet.

In her most candid chat ever, Swift admitted she thought Kelce was ‘crazy’ for asking her out so publicly.
Kelce had previously shared on his podcast about attending one of Swift’s concerts in July 2023, expressing his disappointment when they didn’t meet, as he had even brought a friendship bracelet for her.
Swift humorously compared Kelce to a character from a John Hughes movie, teasing that he was like someone standing outside her window with a boombox, saying: ‘I wanna date you! Do you wanna go on a date with me? I made you a friendship bracelet. Do you wanna date me?’
Swift said: ‘I was like, if this guy isn’t crazy — which is a big if — this is sort of what I’ve been writing songs about wanting to happen to me since I was a teenager.’
Kelce’s brother Jason went on to ask the Fearless hitmaker: ‘How did you know he wasn’t crazy?’ to which she replied: ‘He is crazy, Jason. He’s the good kind of crazy.’
The tight end first made his interest in Swift known in July 2023 when he attended the US leg of Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour at Arrowhead Stadium, the home of his team, the Kansas City Chiefs.
He later revealed on New Heights that he tried and failed to meet Swift after the show.

‘I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,’ he said. ‘So I was a little butt-hurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.’
He then explains he’d made a special friendship bracelet – fans trade them at her shows, referencing a lyric from her track You’re On Your Own Kid – with his number on it, but hadn’t been able to give it to her. ‘She doesn’t meet anybody, or at least she didn’t want to meet me, so I took it personal,’ he says.

During a November interview with Wall Street Journal Magazine, Kelce said of the start of his romance with Swift. ‘There were definitely people she knew that knew who I was. I had somebody playing Cupid,’ he says.
He added the duo bonded over their love for family. ‘Everybody knows I’m a family guy,’ he says. ‘Her team is her family. Her family does a lot of stuff in terms of the tour, the marketing, being around, so I think she has a lot of those values as well, which is right up my alley.’
The pair’s romance became extremely public in January 2024 when Swift rushed onto the field to congratulate Kelce after the Chiefs secured their spot in the Super Bowl.
Kelce was heard whispering: ‘Tay, I’m going to enjoy it with the guys. I love you. So much, it’s not funny.’
The next month and hours after closing the Asian leg of the Eras Tour, Swift arrived to support Kelce at the Super Bowl.
She and her entourage – including former BFF Blake Lively, Ice Spice and Lana Del Rey – cheered the Chiefs on to win the biggest prize in American football.
Swift rushed onto the field to congratulate Kelce afterwards, before they hit the town for an afterparty (also attended by Swift’s parents).
In June 2024 Kelce made a shock onstage cameo at Swift’s Eras Tour concert at London’s Wembley Stadium.
Swift also shared an Instagram photo of the couple backstage meeting Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, captioned: ‘I’m still cracking up/swooning over @killatrav’s Eras Tour debut.’
Days later, Kelce appeared on the Bussin’ With the Boys podcast and talked about the moment he knew he was in love with Swift. ‘The first game she came to against the Bears, I was like, “I could probably set you up with everything,”’ he said.
‘And she just walked through the front door. There was no going down, talking to security … She was just like, “I want to be around the family and friends and experience this with everybody.”‘
In September 2024 their romance was rocked when documents supposedly outlining a ‘break-up strategy’ orchestrated by Kelce’s PR team started circulating on the internet, but the footballer’s reps quickly denied them.
‘These documents are entirely false and fabricated and were not created, issued, or authorized by this agency,’ a spokesperson said.
‘We have engaged our legal team to initiate proceedings against the individuals or entities responsible for the unlawful and injurious forgery of documents.’
Days later, the couple put on a united front at the 2024 US Open.
Swift and Kelce were seen packing on the PDA and singing along to I Believe in a Thing Called Love by The Darkness.
On September 11 2024, Swift gave her boyfriend a shout-out at the VMAs, when she accepted the Video of the Year award.
‘This video seems very sad when you watch it, but it was actually the most fun video to make,’ she says.
‘I would always just hear someone cheering, like, “Whoo!” from across the studio – that one person was my boyfriend, Travis. Everything this man touches turns to happiness and fun and magic, so I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot.’
