AN active shooter allegedly opened fire in a Minneapolis Catholic school and church on Wednesday morning.

Emergency crews were called to Annunciation Church, with sources confirming to KARE that an active shooter situation was unfolding.

The source told the outlet that there was a significant number of victims, including children.

“I have received a briefing regarding the shooting at Annunciation Catholic School and will keep providing updates as more details become available. The BCA and State Patrol are currently at the location,” stated Minnesota Governor Tim Walz on X.

“I’m praying for our kids and teachers whose first week of school was marred by this horrific act of violence.”

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino said that agents are “en route to the scene.”
