McMullen even attended Hamburger University, which he confirmed is a real thing.
Available in eight countries around the world, Hamburger University is where prospective McDonald’s restaurant managers receive their training.
It’s just one of the employee training avenues McDonald’s spends more than $60 million on every year.
“We take our responsibility as a major employer of young individuals in Australia extremely seriously, and we’re genuinely proud of that,” McMullen expressed.
Over 100,000 Australians are currently employed at McDonald’s, ranging from teenagers embarking on their first job to former office workers in their 60s looking for a change before retirement.
Today, McDonald’s has unveiled a new campaign called ‘1 in 12,’ which celebrates the 1.6 million Australians who have worked for the fast-food chain since it launched in Australia in 1971.
