FBI increases surveillance of Iran-backed operatives in US: source

FBI Director Kash Patel stated that the shooter involved in the “barbaric” attack during a Catholic school Mass in Minneapolis had left several anti-religious references in both his manifesto and on his firearms.

Patel updated the public via a post on X, indicating that, “As we proceed with the investigation into Robert Westman’s brutal attack yesterday, our team has gathered substantial evidence showing this as an act of domestic terrorism driven by a hate-filled ideology.”

The director then provided a list of updates in connection to the shooter.

“The subject left numerous anti-Catholic, anti-religious references in his manifesto and written on his firearms,” noted Patel. “He also exhibited hatred and violence toward Jewish individuals, writing statements such as ‘Israel must fall,’ ‘Free Palestine,’ and employing explicit language concerning the Holocaust.”

“He wrote an explicit call for violence against President Trump on a firearm magazine,” he added.

Patel noted the FBI investigation is ongoing, and it will employ all counter-terror tools to “ensure this is fully investigated and deterred.”
