Jadon Sancho has rejected an offer from Roma to end his Manchester United nightmare, talkSPORT understands.

But Fabrizio Romano is reporting the former England international couldn’t find an agreement on personal terms.

The player’s agents have also informed the Italian side that Sancho won’t be joining them this summer.

And talkSPORT’s Ben Jacobs understands that Sancho is convinced different offers will arrive.

Roma are exploring different options, while Manchester United are seeking a team interested in Sancho, who doesn’t have a squad number for this season.

Sancho has interest from Turkey and Besiktas, but he won’t consider that until the main European transfer window closes.

The former Borussia Dortmund star had the opportunity to join Chelsea after his loan spell last year.

An agreement on personal terms couldn’t be reached, leading Chelsea to pay a £5 million penalty to avoid signing the winger, despite having a loan deal with an obligation to buy in place.

Still only 25, Sancho is at risk of his career regressing if he doesn’t move soon, as he is not part of Ruben Amorim’s plans.

What next for Sancho?

Since joining Man United in the summer of 2021 from Borussia Dortmund, Sancho’s career has stagnated.

Initially seen as one of Europe’s most promising talents following impressive years at Dortmund, Sancho has struggled to perform under several managers.

His time at Old Trafford effectively came to an end after a falling out with Erik ten Hag saw him isolated from the rest of the first team.

Sancho then re-joined Dortmund on loan in Januarry 2024, but the club couldn’t afford to make it permanent.

His loan to Chelsea seemed like the perfect move for the forward.

But after a promising start, Enzo Maresca started to favour other players but still gave Sancho plenty of game time.

In total, Sancho played 42 games for Chelsea, scoring five goals and setting up ten.

Many of his goal contributions were in the Europa Conference League, including a goal in the final against Real Betis. However, given that he started most Premier League matches, expectations were higher.

He is now in a tricky position, and after turning down Roma, it remains to be seen who will come in for him.
