A tragic incident in New Hampshire involves a mother, Emily Long, accused of embezzling over $600,000 from her workplace, who then fatally shot her ill husband and two little children before turning the gun on herself.

Emily Long, aged 34, was the operations director at Wing-Itz, a chicken wing chain in New Hampshire. The restaurant owner, Derek Fisher, revealed that Emily allegedly began the theft in January 2023, according to Fox News Digital.

The murder-suicide happened on August 18 at the Long family’s residence in Madbury, a town near Portsmouth, as confirmed by the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office.

Ryan Long, her 48-year-old husband, and their children, Parker, 8, and Ryan, 6, were discovered shot to death, while their youngest child, a toddler, was unharmed.

Fisher confronted Emily, asking for two months’ worth of her personal bank statements, which appeared to have been altered, Seacoastonline reports. When requested to visit the bank with him, she allegedly declined, stating she would resign or be terminated, according to the outlet.

“I felt I had no other option other (than) to go to law enforcement,” Fisher said. “I trusted her. I deeply cared for her and her family. The end result is devastating.”
