Jack Grealish and his partner Sasha Attwood are reportedly upset after receiving an update about the police investigation into a burglary at their Cheshire home, where jewelry and watches valued at £1 million were stolen.
The incident happened on Boxing Day 2023 while Grealish was playing for Manchester City against Everton. Attwood, along with ten family members, was inside their £5.6 million residence near Knutsford when the burglars broke in. Although she alerted the authorities, the thieves managed to escape within minutes.
According to The Sun, Cheshire Police have now concluded the case, citing a ‘detailed investigation’ but have not identified any suspects.
The England footballer expressed his distress shortly after the incident on Instagram, saying: ‘I can’t even begin to explain how upset I am about the burglary at my home. My family’s safety is paramount, and this was a very traumatic experience. I am thankful that no one was harmed.’
Recently, Cheshire Police stated: ‘After a comprehensive investigation, the case is now closed due to a lack of suspects. However, if new information surfaces, it will be examined by our officers.’

Jack Grealish, who is currently playing on loan at Everton, reportedly feels ‘devastated’ following the closure of the police investigation into the December 2023 break-in.

The ordeal left Grealish anxious for months, but he is now seeking fresh focus on the pitch after a summer loan move to Everton.
The 29-year-old made his full debut for the Toffees on Sunday and was named player of the match after inspiring a 2-0 win over Brighton on the opening day at their new Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Grealish assisted both goals, teeing up Iliman Ndiaye for the historic first strike at the ground before laying on James Garner’s long-range effort.
‘For me, I wanted to come here and the main thing was to enjoy football, you know, enjoy playing every day,’ Grealish told beIN Sports afterwards.
‘And I think maybe at times in the last couple of years, I’ve fallen out of love – not fallen out of love, but just didn’t enjoy football as much as I should.
‘My family said it to me at times when I was at home and stuff. That’s down to no one else, it’s down to myself.
‘But yeah, I absolutely love football and I want to have that feeling again, when you wake up on a match day and you just can’t wait to get out there. That’s how I felt today and hopefully my performance showed that.’
He added: ‘I’ve been here now for just 10 days or something and I’ve loved every minute of it. Everyone has welcomed me so, so nicely. The manager has been brilliant with me, always speaking with me and making me feel wanted and loved really.
