Top-Ranked Highway in Central Florida Revealed by Report

Many American workers are accustomed to facing dreadful traffic during their morning highway commutes. When roadways slow to a snail’s pace, it can be a source of major frustration for drivers everywhere.

But as it turns out, some stretches may not be so bad — including one in Central Florida.

That’s according to Quantrell Volvo, which put together a study determining drivers’ favorite stretches of highway in America.

“To determine which drives from the suburbs to the city are truly exceptional, Quantrell Volvo surveyed 3,105 commuters about their favorite routes — the ones where the journey itself justifies the fuel cost,” a spokesperson shared with News 6.

The top pick nationwide is Kailua to Honolulu via Pali Highway in Hawaii, which earned its spot thanks to its scenery.

“The top-rated dream drive begins on Oahu’s lush Windward side, taking you through the breathtaking Ko’olau Mountains, reminiscent of a picture-perfect postcard,” the study reveals. “As you descend towards Honolulu, the road offers stunning views of the city and the vast Pacific Ocean. Mist-covered cliffs, dense rainforests, and glistening waves transform the drive into a daily mini-vacation instead of a routine commute.”

But while the Sunshine State didn’t make the top of the list, it wasn’t far off.

In the study, Florida’s best highway stretch is the journey from St. Augustine to Jacksonville via Interstate 95, ranking at No. 11.

“This historical path takes drivers from the nation’s oldest city to one of Florida’s busiest commercial centers. Travelers pass by Spanish-style architecture, coastal marshlands, and old oak trees adorned with Spanish moss. The shift from historic allure to modern urban vibrancy makes this a visually captivating and pleasant commute.”

That’s not the only high-ranking stretch of highway in Florida, though.

Coming in a bit further down at No. 19 is the top stretch in Central Florida: Winter Park to Orlando, via Interstate 4.

“Starting from the charming tree-lined avenues of Winter Park, this route into Orlando offers a view of scenic lakes, upscale neighborhoods, and dynamic cultural landmarks. As drivers approach downtown, Orlando’s skyline and its renowned theme parks appear in the distance. Even with I-4’s occasional traffic jams, the diverse scenery along this route keeps the journey stimulating.”
