The Recreation and Leisure Services Department in Savannah, Ga., is set to begin construction and enhancements for two major parks in the city.

Starting in the second week of September, Daffin Park will be the site of a new, signature playground project. This construction is projected to take four months to complete and represents one of the largest individual investments as part of the city’s Recreation Re-Imagined Initiative.

The forthcoming playground will cater to children aged 2 to 12, adhere to ADA guidelines, and feature a new restroom along with a splashpad. It will be situated at the park’s northwest corner.

Similarly, Forsyth Park’s playground will see updates beginning in the first week of September. The renovations will involve replacing old rubber surfaces and deteriorated wood fiber. The playground will remain closed for the duration of the two-week upgrade period as announced by city officials.
