Dad of Burning Man homicide victim demands justice after son found 'in pool of blood'

The father of a Russian man discovered deceased at the Burning Man festival is calling for justice following the confirmation by authorities that his son was a murder victim at the renowned art and music event.

Identified as Vadim Kruglov, the 37-year-old Russian national residing in Washington state was found “lying in a pool of blood,” per the Pershing County Sheriff’s Office. His demise has cast a somber mood over the yearly festival held in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert.

In a video posted to Facebook on Thursday, his father, Igor Kruglov, said “words can’t express” his feelings over the loss of his son.

The area was immediately secured, and investigators have since interviewed several individuals who may have been nearby.

Despite the surrounding shock, officials have suggested that the death seems to be an isolated case. The sheriff’s office mentioned earlier this week that they are continuing the investigation and are appealing for public cooperation. There is a belief that witnesses from the festival community may possess crucial information.

Police are asking anyone with information to call them at 775-273-2641 and reference case # 25-318.

Burning Man organizers have emphasized the need not to disrupt the investigation. “The safety and well-being of our community are paramount,” they stated, according to the Associated Press. It is also reported that participants who may be affected have access to support services.
