Stop swiping for love and move to a city in the Bible Belt – as one influencer has claimed that the men are ‘so much better’ in the southern region.

Content creator Riley Rojasa confessed she had reservations about moving from San Diego, California, to Austin, Texas – but now that she’s made the move, she believes others should consider it as well.

Rojas has been residing in Austin, a city known for being considerably more liberal and less religious than other cities in the predominantly conservative state, for two years and frequently discusses the highs and lows of her relocation on social media.

She explained in one video that while she moved with her now-fiancé, her single pals say it’s one of the best places they’ve ever dated in.

‘They said the men here are so much nicer, [they’re] gentleman – just that southern hospitality,’ she reported enthusiastically.

‘They have said that the men out here are much better than any other city they’ve dated in and my friends have dated in all cities,’ she continued.

‘So that should be a good sign for anyone that’s single and looking to date.’

The Bible Belt is a region of the US, predominantly in the south, characterized by a high prevalence of Protestant Christianity.

Content creator Riley Rojasa admitted she was doubtful about relocating from San Diego, California, to Austin, Texas - but now that she has, she thinks others should do it too

According to SmartAsset, Austin has one of the highest ratio of unmarried men per unmarried women in the country.

The site noted there are 122.3 unmarried men to 100 women, with 40.9 percent of the city having tied the knot.

WalletHub also listed Austin as the 10th best city for singles to live in.

According to the US Census Bureau, nearly 46 percent of the adult population in the US is unmarried, and with living costs on the rise, dating has become more expensive.

A 2023 study by the Pew Research Center found that 34 percent of women under 30 defined themselves as single.

It also found that the percentage of women looking for a romantic relationship has decreased since 2019, going from 38 percent to 35 percent.

Brittney has also urged women to embrace and enjoy the journey of being single.

‘If you’re single, don’t let anyone make you feel like you’re missing out,’ she advised.

‘The strongest relationships come when you are at your best – which requires time, self-reflection, and plenty of self-love. Be patient with yourself, and remember, there’s no need to hurry.’

Research conducted in 2023 by the Thriving Center of Psychology revealed some surprising statistics about America’s single population, with many singles reporting that dating has never been more challenging.

Plenty of people believe it has never been harder to date, with 56 percent feeling it was easier in years gone by – even though 69 percent said they were content with being single.

For those that are able to land a date, 49 percent agree that it is socially acceptable to do background research on them before meeting.

Almost one in five admitted to running a background check on their potential matches, and 14 percent admitted to their dates that they looked them up online first.

In the competitive jungle of online dating, 35 percent of people said they don’t feel safe using an app to find someone – including 49 percent of women.

One in seven who use the apps admitted that they don’t like using them, however 75 percent also said they find it hard to find a date without looking online.
