On Sunday, Pope Leo will canonize Carlo Acutis, making the young Italian “Saint Acutis” in his first canonization as pope. Carlo, a teenage boy passionate about video games, passed away from leukemia in 2006. He is attributed with two miracles: one involving a young boy with a rare condition and another concerning a woman who astonishingly recovered from a head injury after Carlo’s passing. NBC News’ Keir Simmons interviews his mother in Italy before the Sunday event.
