Full list: Country Music Association announces 59th Annual CMA Awards nominees for 2025

NASHVILLE — The Country Music Association revealed the nominees for this year’s “59th Annual CMA Awards” on Monday, marking the beginning of the awards season. These nominations highlight the artists and industry figures who have made a significant impact on the country music scene over the past year, in anticipation of the November 19 ceremony.

Leading the nominations are Ella Langley, Megan Moroney, and Lainey Wilson, who each secured six nods. Zach Top is right behind with five nominations, while Riley Green and Cody Johnson garnered four nominations each.

Competing for CMA Entertainer of the Year is Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton, Morgan Wallen and Lainey Wilson.

This year, several first-time nominees have been recognized, including Johnny Clawson, Jon Decious, Jessie Jo Dillon, Josh Dorr, Alexandra Gavillet, Lalo Guzman, Jimmy Harnen, Brandon Lake, Micah Nichols, John Park, Aaron Raitiere, Matt Rovey, Kyle Sturrock, Wales Toney, Tucker Wetmore, and Stephen Wilson Jr.

Sarah Trahern, the CMA Chief Executive Officer, expressed gratitude, stating, “The nominees announced today highlight some of the most exceptional work occurring in country music. We are very thankful to our voting members who have dedicated their time and expertise to this process. Their involvement ensures that the CMA Awards continue to genuinely represent the genre’s excellence. Congratulations to all of this year’s nominees on behalf of CMA.”

The nominated works include “4x4xU” by Lainey Wilson, produced by Jay Joyce, and “Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma” by Luke Combs, which he produced alongside Chip Matthews and Jonathan Singleton. Megan Moroney’s “Am I Okay?” produced by Kristian Bush, and “I Never Lie” by Zach Top, produced by Carson Chamberlain, are also contenders. Moreover, Ella Langley’s collaboration with Riley Green on “you look like you love me,” produced by Will Bundy, is among the nominated pieces.

ALBUM OF THE YEAR Award goes to Artist, Producer(s) and Mix Engineer(s)

Additional nominations feature Megan Moroney’s “Am I Okay?”, again noted for its production by Kristian Bush. Zach Top’s “Cold Beer & Country Music” with Carson Chamberlain as producer, Post Malone’s “F-1 Trillion” produced by Louis Bell, Charlie Handsome, and Hoskins, Morgan Wallen’s “I’m The Problem” produced by Jacob Durrett, Charlie Handsome, and Joey Moi, and Lainey Wilson’s “Whirlwind,” produced by Jay Joyce, round out the list of acknowledged works.
