Storm Team 3: Increasing temperatures and humidity this week

In Savannah, Georgia, high pressure maintains its hold today, ensuring lots of sunshine and pleasant humidity levels aided by a consistent northeast breeze. Temperatures are expected to remain slightly below average, reaching highs in the mid-80s.

By tomorrow, the winds will change direction to the southwest, bringing in warmer and more humid air from the Gulf. This marks the start of a noticeable warming trend for the middle to end of the week, with temperatures rising into the upper 80s. Additionally, anticipate a gradual increase in cloudiness.

Looking ahead to the weekend, there’s a chance for a few passing showers as moisture continues to build.

We are also closely monitoring the tropics for mid to late week activity. There is a possibility that a wave from Africa could develop into a tropical depression. Although dry air over the Atlantic is currently hindering its development, gradual intensification is possible once it interacts with this dry air. The system is currently moving west/northwest and has a high 80% chance of developing. We will continue to watch for any new updates.
